Misplaced Gear

Have you ever misplaced your gear? That is stressful. I was doing a favour for a friend by photographing her wedding. I took my son along to assist me. The pre-ceremonial shoot was at the home of the bride’s parents.

I took out my camera and flash unit that I would be using and gave my son one simple instruction. “Keep my camera bag and keep it on your back. Don’t take it off!”

Long story short, we were done at the house and then left for the church. The wedding party left as well. Upon arrival at the church I turned around to my son wanting to do a lens swop. Fear and a blank stare was all I got back.

My stomach was in a knot. Luckily I could ask one of the relatives to take my son to fetch the bag. A very embarrassing and stressful moment.
