Canon EOS-1D X and EOS-1D C Firmware updates are coming!

If you are one of those lucky sods to have the cream of Canon’s crop, you will be happy to know that the your camera will soon have an update available.  See below for details of the updates:

EOS-1D X (available January 2014)

  • AF preformance of moving subjects
  •  Enhanced AI Servo AF Performance in Low Light Conditions
  • Improved Acceleration/Deceleration Tracking Parameters
  • Selection of Initial AF Point While Shooting in 61-Point Auto Selection AF
  • AF Point Switching According to Camera Orientation
  • Expanded Minimum Shutter Speed in Auto ISO
  • Exposure Compensation in Auto ISO with Manual Mode Set
  • Toggling Between Alternate Camera Settings
  • Display Protected Images Only

EOS-1D C (available November 2013 – requires upgrade to be done by Canon Service Centre)

  • EF Lens Communication
  • Audio Recording Improvements
